TableSafe is seeking a talented and motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET). The SDET  will work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager and development team.  The goal of the SDET will be to design, implement and execute test strategies.  TableSafe is a fast-paced, challenging and growing environment. Job Duties:

  • Creates testing framework from the ground up to test our custom device. Must be able to test Embedded Linux Systems end to end; understanding the Hardware, Firmware, Software completely.
  • Helps to drive automated testing strategies throughout the entire Engineering team
  • Participates in the product development lifecycle, including requirements gathering (acceptance criteria), design review and code review process
  • Conducts regular regression tests on a periodic basis to ensure performance levels of production systems
  • Works closely with software engineers on technical issues related to the development of multitier architecture
  • Participates in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, load, system and automated testing; this includes creating effective manual and automated test plans and test cases using a variety of toolsets


Requirements:

●  3-5 years of experience in a software testing environment

●  3+ years Embedded Linux Systems device testing

●  Experience working in Linux/Unix environments

●  Experience designing, creating, and implementing frameworks for software testing

●  Fluent in Javascript and Node.js

●  Comfortable writing C++, C#, Java or equivalent object oriented language

●  Ability to write test plans and test strategy documents

●  Strong attention to detail and thoroughness; able to handle complex issues and undocumented processes.



History working with the following:

  • REST end points using SoapUI, vREST, Postman, or equivalent testing framework
  • QT Webkit using Ranorex, Selenium, Froglogic, or equivalent testing framework
  • Node.js/Javascript using JAsmine, nodeunit, Mocha, Vows, Intern or equivalent testing framework
  • Couchbase(or other NoSQL database) using Brutis, Memcachetest, Memslap, or equivalent testing framework

Preferred Qualifications:

●  History of working in an Agile software engineering methodology

●  Experience in leveraging bug tracking software

●  Able to work in a fast-paced environment; flexibility and responsiveness



Experience in the following tools:

●  Microsoft Visual Studio

●  Team Foundation Server

●  Test Case Manager

●  Rally

●  GitHub
