TableSafe, Inc. designs, builds, and sells hardware and software products to eliminate credit and debit card information theft. It offers RAIL, a pay at the table device that is designed primarily for the full-service restaurant industry. The company’s device communicates and exchanges guest check data wirelessly with point of sale systems.

Job Brief

Our startup in Kirkland is developing the next generation of EMV-capable pay-at-the-table devices. We are looking for a UX Designer to provide support to design and develop engaging user experiences for our products. You will work collaboratively with product managers, developers, quality assurance engineers and implementation engineers. Our team moves quickly, the right candidate will excel at providing both highly analytical and highly creative ideas.

You Will Have…

●  Bachelor’s Degree in Interaction Design, New Media Design or related field and/or equivalent experience

●  3+ years of user experience design experience for software, web applications which leverage emergent technologies, consumer electronics and/or mobile devices

●  A thorough and demonstrated understanding of contemporary user-centered design methodologies; Human Factors Engineering experience preferred

●  Expertise in interaction design and technology trends

●  The ability to create wireframes and visual design comps required, basic programming and modeling skills preferred

●  The ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

●  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; documentation will be required

●  A demonstrated passion for consistent, simple, approachable and elegant UI design

●  The ability to work in a fast-paced and Agile environment; flexibility and responsiveness is required


Your Responsibilities Will Be…

●  To create user interface (UI) designs with consideration of the end-user and business requirements; considers technical limitations.

●  To translate high-level feature concepts into use cases and customer experience requirements.

●  To present design work to the product manager, development team, business executives and external partners for review and feedback.

●  To produce wireframes, high-fidelity mockups and production art assets.

●  To develop and maintain detail UI specifications and templates.
